Sisterhood of SMA Retreats

Boundless Compassion featuring Sr. Joyce Rupp
Boundless Compassion, a six-part DVD series featuring Sr. Joyce Rupp who is well known for her work as a writer, a spiritual ‘midwife,’ and retreat and conference speaker. Sr. Joyce has cut back on her retreat schedule, however, she has given Sr. Bobbi materials for her use. Inquire about having this series for your group at Benet House or at your site.
A Transformed Life featuring Sr. Maria Tasto, OSB
This six-part series is meant to provide for those on the spiritual journey a context within which to understand both the challenges and the blessings of our seeking God. Sr. Maria Tasto, OSB, shares her journey and road map which points out some landmarks and signs along the way. Sr. Maria is no longer living but this DVD series is an outstanding presentation and personal time with her. Sr. Bobbi, who had the opportunity for 22 years to have Sr. Maria as her spiritual director, facilitates this series. Inquire about your group having this series at Benet House or at your own site.
Non-Profit Organizations
Benet House provides a ½ day or full day experience for clients from local non-profit organizations. We are committed to reaching out to those in need to enable them to have an experience of our contemplative space. Benet House Ministry Funds assist with covering the cost of the program. Inquire about opportunities for your clients.
Service Retreat
Participate in outreach to the Quad City area and wrap it in prayer. A program will be tailored to your group and include service projects, discussion on peace and justice issues and group reflection. There will be an opportunity to join the Sisters for prayer and meals. This is an enriching opportunity for high school or college campus ministry programs, high school youth groups or parish adult groups. Participants: 5–10. Sr. Bobbi Bussan, OSB will facilitate planning. Groups must be accompanied by adult leader; inquire about weekdays during a school / vacation break or summer experience. Cost varies according to group size and needs.
