Jesus and the Disinherited
By Howard Thurman

Howard Thurman (1900-1981) was one of the most influential writers for Martin Luther King, Jr and the Civil Rights Movement. This book helped shape civil rights and influence our nations history. Thurman teaches how the Gospel is a ‘manual of resistance for the poor and disenfranchised’. Jesus always was on the side of the poor and oppressed and His Life offers us a solution to overcome hatred through self-love and love of others.
