The Woman at the Well

  • Benet House Retreat Center 2200 88th Avenue West Rock Island, IL, 61201 United States (map)

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give will become a spring of water welling up to eternal, life.” (John 4:13-14)

The story of the Samaritan woman Jesus meets at Jacobs Well is a rich example of love, truth, redemption, and acceptance. This story reflects how we, too, are loved in the same way. The woman gleans much from her conversation with Jesus and leaves her water jar, much like the disciples left their nets, and becomes a disciple, sharing the Good News with those she encounters. This retreat weekend will unpack the experience of the woman and provide an opportunity to encounter the same love she found in Jesus. Join this retreat and be filled at the Well.
