Do you ever think; how can I stop looking at my phone, I'm addicted to electronics, I'm wasting my life on devices...?
Do you feel over-stimulated by the modern world and way of life?
We all know how we feel when we have lost hours to tech-based distraction, and we also recognize that these lost hours also drain us of energy to live life with clarity and purpose. But how do we stop this addiction to electronic distractions?
Join us in this weekend retreat as we uncover the deeper causes of our turning to electronics for 'relaxation, excitement, escapism or just to fill the void'.
Learn strategies to break this addictive habit of reaching for electronic gadgets.
Through the transformative power of simple guided meditation techniques, you can develop the skills to relax, destress, and find deep peace of mind without turning to electronic distractions. You will also take home practical techniques and strategies to change your relationship with electronics and to bring mindfulness and intention to your digital life.
This weekend retreat will include short talks and simple, guided meditation sessions. You will be introduced to and guided in short meditations focused on breathing meditation, pacifying our busy thoughts, and the peaceful clarity of our own mind.
In between sessions feel free to relax and reflect, including on the patio – read one of our library books, sit quietly, drink coffee, enjoy strolling to the lake and explore walking trails.
No experience needed, we sit in chairs.
What to expect on the retreat:
Simple guided meditations
Brief teachings about the topic of each meditation
