Peace and greetings! My years as Director of Benet House have been a terrific, rich, and engaging experience. I am grateful for your support, participation, and promotion of Benet House. Word of mouth is huge in individuals learning about Benet House.

We provide a wide selection of retreats. Thank you for taking the time to discover them in our monthly listing. Check our website often as new retreats are frequently posted.

For the Benet House staff:

Sr. Jackie Walsh who coordinates all registrations, the master event calendar, participants’ special needs and is a welcome presence to all who come.

Lorene Knobbe, Program Assistant, who joined the staff in August 2021. She brings new energy to programming and a deep desire to deepen her connection to the Divine and share her journey with our retreatants.

Ancillary staff that enables Benet House to operate:

Christine Thornton, Housekeeping Coordinator, who cares for Benet House. Our facility is sanitary, remarkably well kept and in good hands.

Bob Essary, Maintenance Engineer, and Steve Greenwood are amazing at upkeep of all ‘systems’ at Benet House as well as the beautiful grounds.

Susan Albertson, Food Service Manager, and her staff who provide delicious meals and keep our Benet House living areas well stocked.

Of course, our Sisters who pray daily for our retreats and offer the best hospitality for our retreatants who share a meal or join us in Liturgy of the Hours.

Protocols

The pandemic forced Benet House to close for onsite programs and it was difficult for our staff and the Sisters to not have the activity of retreatants in the dining room, at prayers and walking the grounds. We offered 7 virtual programs during the shutdown, and all have continued.

As you know, once we reopened, we had strict protocols. We have dropped our protocols; however, individuals may prefer to wear a mask. We no longer require masks or vaccinations. We do ask that if a retreatant should get COVID within 5 days after the retreat that we are notified so we can tell the others who attended the retreat.

All Are Welcome

Benet House wants everyone desiring to experience a retreat to be able to participate. We have the Benet House Ministry Fund to make sure this happens. This scholarship assistance is due to the generosity of the Sisters. Inquire about this when registering for a retreat. We ask only you pay as able, and we will cover the remaining cost.
