Gala Grande Poem

As Spring is in full bloom, we wanted to share this poem by Sister Margaret Murphy, published in Spirit & Life magazine:

Wind partners with trees,

waltz, ballet, pop disco, hula and fan.

A whirlwind stirs a willow’s green skirt

into a spinning hula,

Swishing sound like the brush on a snare drum.

Branches with graceful, uplifted hands

Port de Bras.

Wind billows the red bud into a twirling tutu.

Blustering wind pop discos with the Ash,

backward bend and forward bow,

tossing the leafy hair round and round.

Poplar trees line dance,

gusting left, gusting right, stepping in stepping out.

A dancer waves feathery pine fans

inwards and outward, upward and downward.

Breezes swing the dogwood into a waltz.

All curtsy to the hidden light.
