In Heaven with a Little Baby

Saturday June 9, 2018 was an amazing day for me. I was able to meet and hold a precious little boy, 5-month-old, Parker, my 3rd cousin. He is the first child of my Godchild, Kathleen.

As I held Parker, it brought back fond memories of holding his mother at that age, 30 years ago. How time flies!

I was also reminded that Jesus tells us we must be like little children to enter heaven.

My own joy was childlike, as I held the baby. I surely was in heaven!

Children are pure and innocent. They hold no grudges against anyone. What an example to the rest of us!

A little prayer that I taught my kindergarten class came back to me. It went like this:

God wanted one more little child,
and so God thought of me.
How much I ought to thank dear God,
for wanting me to be!

Thanks, Kathleen and Jared for cooperating with God’s Plan that Parker would join our human family ... and for wanting him to be!
