Benedictine Sister Bobbi Bussan was able to meet Pope Francis during the 2018 CIB Symposium in Rome.
Warm and gracious, Francis embodied the theme of the symposium, βLet All Be Welcomed as Christ.β (RB 53.1)
Sr. Bobbi says the pope "was very personal and spoke well about women and our contribution to the world Church."
CIB - Communio Internationalis Benedictinarum - was created in 2001 in Nairobi, Kenya to bring together the nuns and sisters associated with the Benedictine Confederation worldwide.
While each of our communities has its own unique character, we appreciate our unity in the Rule of St. Benedict and in the Benedictine tradition that has flowered in countries and cultures throughout the world.
The CIB has helped us experience the rich expression of the Benedictine charism manifested in the lives of our communities.
Sr. Bobbi serves as coordinator of the CIB symposium being held September 6-13, 2018 at Collegio Sant Anselmo, with 112 Benedictine Sisters and Nuns attending from around the world.
She's also having fun traveling and shopping, as you can see in these photos:
