Boundless Compassion is based on the writings and teachings of Sr. Joyce Rupp.  

Boundless Compassion unpacks the Christian understanding of compassion with Jesus as our model.   This includes teachings from other world religions, that are incorporated in our understanding of Boundless Compassion.

Trained facilitators lead this 3-part hybrid retreat that teaches practical ways to be a compassionate presence.  An individual can just attend the weekend and not the virtual gatherings. 

• The weekend focus is on practical ways to nourish compassion as a way of life, compassion to self and compassion and creation. A person can just attend the weekend retreat.

  • Dates: Sept. 10-13

  • Facilitator: Lorene Knobbe and Team

  • Weekend Cost: $445 (single); $400 (double); $310 (commuter) Cost includes room, meals, presenter fee, conference room, and all materials. 

• The two virtual sessions following the weekend explore compassion and suffering, compassion and marginalization and compassionate presence.  A person must attend the weekend to attend the two virtual sessions.

  • Dates: Sept. 24; Oct. 8

  • Time:  5:30 pm-7:30 pm  (CST)

  • Facilitator: BCF Team

  • Cost: $60

• To become a certified Boundless Compassion Facilitator, each person must attend the weekend, the two virtual sessions and two day-long virtual training sessions. 

• The training sessions provide an opportunity to integrate the material from the first 2 parts.  There will be a BCF Team that presents different areas about being a facilitator.  Upon completion of the training, individuals will receive a certificate.

  • Dates: To be determined with group.

• Time: 2 full days or 4-½ days

• Facilitator: Sr. Bobbi Bussan, OSB (Executive Director) and BCF Team.

• Cost: $ 100

All faiths are welcome.  Scholarship funds available upon request.
