Boundless Compassion Facilitator Training

 Participants of this event are required to attend the four-day Boundless Compassion retreat that precedes the training workshop. This workshop involves practical application of the program and assists participants in how to use their individual talents and experiences to bring the Boundless Compassion core foundational teachings into their sphere of life. The workshop offers the opportunity to become a certified facilitator of the program. Along with the requirement of full attendance at the four-day retreat, each participant of the workshop must request an application form to be completed before being accepted into the training workshop. Training will be done by Bobbi Bussan, OSB and Joan Doherty. 

Facilitator Responsibilities

The Boundless Compassion program consists of a many textured approaches which includes receiving information on the topic from a variety of disciplines and resources, as well as integrating the contents into one’s personal and professional life. This integration is accomplished within a group environment where creative processes and directed quiet time provide opportunities for in-depth assimilation of the core content.

Registration for the Facilitator Workshop is based on the following prerequisites.

  • Participation in the following, led by a certified, trained Boundless Compassion facilitator: The Four Day Boundless Compassion retreat during which the foundation and basic principles of the program are presented and integrated into one’s life through reflection and dialogue.

Expectations of Boundless Compassion Facilitators (BCF)

Share aspects of the Boundless Compassion program in some form that relates to personal talents and expertise. There must be annual direct involvement by sharing compassion in some aspect, whether retreat, workshop, group leadership, social justice, medical-related systems, volunteer service, leadership or participation in self-help groups such as grief, recovery from addictions, etc.

  • Participation in a quarterly BCF Group meeting led by a Core Team member. This takes place either virtually or in person, depending on the situation.

  • Engage in some form of action during the year that relates to an aspect of Boundless Compassion.

  • Participate in an annual BCF self-evaluation.
