Central Illinois and Mississippi Valley Contemplative Outreach offer a silent Centering Prayer 4-day retreat following the example of Jesus, “He went out to the mountain to pray” (Luke 6:12); to get away to a quiet place for prayer and renewal. The teachings will emphasize our need for self-care as we take time apart to refresh and replenish ourselves in prayer and silence in our “inner room.” A minimum of 3 months of regular practice of Centering Prayer is a prerequisite to attend the retreat.
