Reclaiming a Sense of Wonder: A Vision of Advent

Advent is a season of inner renewal. A time for watching and waiting for the sacred to be reborn in our hearts. It is also a time to reawaken to wonder – the wonder we might have pushed to the margins in the bustle of summer and autumn. We will seek to revive the slumbering wonder inside us by exploring how poets and writers have tapped into the wonder of ordinary life. And we will uncover some simple practices that challenge us during the Advent season to awaken from our spiritual sleep, to see what is truly real and gives light to our lives.

Led by Judith Valente, award-winning author, journalist, poet and essayist.

Date:  Saturday, November 21st
