“Creation itself would be set free” (Romans 8:21):

Exploring the Intersection of Scripture and the Climate Crisis

As Pope Francis has urged, the development of an integral ecology on behalf of our common home is a Christian imperative. As the Letter to the Colossians acknowledges, Jesus “is the first-born of all creation.” (Co 1:16). We will explore the biblical portrait of the Incarnation through an evolutionary lens to address four questions concerning the climate crises: Why does this matter now? Why us? What are we to do about it? And How are we to do it? By embracing deep incarnation, we are invited to renew our kinship with and advocacy for all of creation.

The Intersection of the Rule of Benedict and the Climate Crisis
