Feast of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven

O Blessed Virgin Mary,
You pleased God throughout your life.
You did God's Will to perfection, 
and thus, were drawn up to heaven with the Holy Trinity.
You were chosen to be Jesus’ Mother because of your goodness and humility.
You did not condemn others but welcomed them.
You chose to help those in need, and to honor their dignity.
You are our highest model of living a life of love for God and others.

Teach us now the ways we too can be like you, 

making good choices in our lives, 

and accepting God’s call to follow Christ.

Pray for us so that we may discern and recognize truth. 

Be with those who are broken by injustice, lack of love, loneliness, rejection

and sorrow.

Awaken our hearts to know God’s love for us – each and every one.
