LED Lighting - National Catholic Sisters Week 2022

As a part of investigating the solar panel project, we began with the step of converting all the lighting in the monastery to LED lights. So about 1,250 lights in the monastery were changed over to LED lighting.

New LED light bulbs can last 50,000 to 100,000 hours more than the typical lifespan for an incandescent bulb which, by compassion, roughly has a 1,200-hour lifespan.

LED lights use between 13-15 percent of the energy used by a standard light bulb, which would reduce as large as 80% in your lighting-related energy cost and thus considerably less harm to the environment.
