Weekly Lenten Retreat: Discovering Boundless Compassion

  • The Grand Hall at Sacred Heart Cathedral
    (in-person only)
422 East 10th Street Davenport, IA, 52803 United States (map)

This Lent unpack a sense of Compassion as a Way of Life as you journey through the book and videos of Boundless Compassion, developed and written by Joyce Rupp. This six-week Christian guide to spiritual virtue and practice includes daily material, organized around a weekly theme, with an essay, a reflection, a prayer, and a scripture to carry in your heart during the day. Each week's material includes examples of how to enter situations that contain challenges and difficulty. “This book reminds us that although living compassionately is rarely convenient and is often downright challenging, we as Christians should strive to live a compassionate life. Awareness, Attitude and Action, are the three essentials comprised in the movement of compassion.”
